I love the holiday season just as much as the next person but I also know that a lot of us can get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season that we forget to take care of ourselves. We are so focused on gifts and parties and hosting that we end up feeling exhausted because we haven’t created room to just be still and breathe. One of the best indicators to the type of day that I will have and my energy level for that day is my breakfast. It sets the pace and tone for my day. This doesn’t mean that it is a big extravagant meal or even that it is always eaten seated at a table but it does mean that it is satisfying and gives me my best energy for the day ahead – which means it typically is some combination of fiber, protein, and fat. In this holiday season, it is so important for me to start my day off well so I have the energy to do everything that this season involves. (Side note – how many Moms out there feel like your kids get the best breakfast and you get table scraps? I’m right there with you sometimes.)
There are three healthy breakfast products I love that make breakfast delicious and satisfying in order to ensure our whole family starts our day off well and has the energy to tackle the day ahead.
This pancake mix makes life so simple – you just have to add water or milk to the mix and you are good to go! In this season of life with a toddler, I so appreciate simplicity when it comes to our meals. I make them for our family on Saturday mornings or even for my daughter & I for a snack on a weekday afternoon. It’s filled with wholesome ingredients and has protein + fiber to help me stay full. The best part? It tastes delicious. We use the mixes the most but sometimes will get the Minute Muffins or Flapjacks On The Go. I’ve also made muffins with the recipe on the back of the box and they’ve turned out delicious. I typically buy these products at Target but I’ve seen it at Costco and several other stores as well!
If you know me, you know I love Siggi’s yogurt – especially the 4% or 9% varieties. The fat + protein in these helps to keep me full and satisfied. My daughter eats these pretty regularly and I feel good about giving it to her because of what the packaging says = simple ingredients and not a lot of sugar. While these are great as part of breakfast, I regularly have them in the afternoon or even after dinner. I typically buy Siggi’s yogurt at Publix, Target, or Sprouts but I’ve seen them at Whole Foods and Fresh Market as well!

I’ve talked about Justin’s Nut Butter before as one of my favorite snacks but it also regularly shows up as part of our breakfast – whether as a topping for yogurt or pancakes, spread on some toast with eggs on the side, or added to a smoothie. If it’s one of those mornings that I am out the door before I get a chance to eat then I will grab one of the single serving packets and have it with a piece of fruit as a breakfast snack and my husband will often do the same! You can find Justin’s Nut Butter at most grocery stores.
In order to share my love for these products with all of you, I will be hosting a giveaway for each of these products on my Instagram over the next several days. Check it out so you can enter!
